Position: Site Manager (Planned Maintenance Retrofit Works)
We have an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to join our Housing Partnerships team based in the Midlands, working on retrofit works. The purpose of the role is to manage and have overall responsibility for all on-site construction activities, ensuring all works are carried out safely, to programme, within budget and in accordance with all design standards, specifications and company procedures.

Manage activities on site, ensuring that the highest standards of health and safety are maintained at all times To liaise with and develop a working partnership with the Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor working alongside you on any particular project To take ownership of your project from pre-commencement up to hand over and completion Supervise and effectively manage all contractors and labour forces on site to consistently deliver value to the highest standard of quality of work Manage all staff to ensure they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards and appropriate resources, plant and material are available Ensure all works are carried out and monitored in accordance with the company safety policy and procedures and in accordance with current legislations, regulations and environmental standards Advise on improving health and safety management practices Introduce and innovate good working practices at site level to benefit all those on site Monitor the project, ensuring it has the correct resources to be completed to the required quality standards and Right First Time culture, within the agreed timescales Ensure client satisfaction with the work process in delivering a defect free result Forward plan and programme the daily works to use all resources efficiently Oversee planning and programming needs of the project Manage the weekly planning of productivity, resources, materials and plant to deliver forecasted outputs Maintain and control financial aspects of the contract and deliver the projects profit in line with business requirements Have a good understanding of the different forms of building contracts Have you got what it takes:
Has a proven track record of successfully delivering retrofit projects to meet the PAS 2035 standard and Trustmark requirements. Knowledge of building construction methods as well the buildings physics and has a full understanding of Awaabs law. Experience in identifying building defects and structural issues. Experience and understanding of mechanical, ventilation and electrical retro fit installations, including the test & commissioning.

Must have good IT skills and be organised ensuring the required evidence is documented in line with the programme. Must have good communication and listening skills and be able to co-ordinate multiple trades in domestic dwelling. The manager must carry out quality key stage audits and completion sign offs on all installations. Must have good commercial awareness and be disciplined in recording any variations or changes throughout the contract.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to successfully manage the health & safety requirements in an occupied domestic environment Experience in managing supply chain, direct employees and consultants Experience in liaising with customers and the supply chain Must have relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc) or equivalent Must have SMSTS certificate Must have First Aid at Work certificate Full UK driving licence ?
