Quantity Surveyor with Project Team Leader responsibilities

Location:

Birmingham

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 plus car allowance

We have a great opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with Project Team Leader responsibilities. The role involves working within our cost consultancy, project management and employer's agent group based in Birmingham, with the potential for hybrid working. You'll be working on a variety of projects as part of a multi-skilled team alongside internal and external partners, executing project work.

Job responsibilities include:
  • Client liaison, present schemes, manage project programming, and address matters affecting service delivery.
  • Act as the Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
  • Appoint and manage the performance of the Professional Team.
  • Prepare and present initial appraisals and feasibility reports.
  • Prepare contract documents.
  • Delegate duties while retaining overall responsibility for achievement.
  • Prepare budget estimates, cost plans, tendering procedures, and contract arrangements.
  • Formulate briefs, fee proposals, and present schemes or services.
  • Prepare tendering documents.
  • Prepare recommendations for interim payments, assess anticipated final costs, measure work, adjust variations, and prepare final accounts.
  • Leading a project team.
Ideally you will have:
  • Construction consultancy experience
  • Ability to undertake Employers Agent role
  • Chartership is desired but not essential
  • Experience in design and build forms including JCT/NEC contracts
  • Experience running projects
  • Residential experience plus other project types
  • RICS Accredited Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management
  • Competent at MS Office suite including Excel and MS Project
