The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for projects from initial feasibility and design through procurement, construction and handover. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, the Senior Project Manager will manage project teams, programmes, risks and stakeholder expectations. The role would suit a confident Senior Project Manager who enjoys client-facing responsibility and is keen to broaden their sector exposure while continuing to build on their retail experience.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Senior Project Manager's role
The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of projects across multiple RIBA stages, ensuring programme, quality and client objectives are achieved.
Key responsibilities will include developing project programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, managing procurement and contract strategies, chairing meetings, monitoring progress and reporting directly to clients. The Senior Project Manager will also manage project risks, change control and stakeholder communication throughout delivery.
Alongside retail schemes, there will be opportunities to work across other sectors, offering greater project variety and long-term career development.
The Senior Project Manager
The successful Senior Project Manager will ideally have:
Strong Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
Previous retail construction experience
Experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out or new-build projects
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB qualification, or working towards a relevant professional qualification
Strong knowledge of procurement routes and construction contracts
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Experience leading multidisciplinary consultant teams
An interest in working across additional property sectors
