This is a full-time permanent position based out of their modern Birmingham office with hybrid and flexible working. Your new role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of major civil engineering works from procurement through to final account. Working closely with project delivery teams, you will provide commercial leadership, ensure contractual compliance and support the successful delivery of key project objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the commercial performance of allocated work packages Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are met Preparing, managing and agreeing interim applications and final accounts Procuring and managing subcontractors, including change control and variations Identifying commercial risks and opportunities and implementing mitigation strategies Producing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management Supporting project teams with commercial advice and decision-making Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, supply chain partners and subcontractors Contributing to the successful delivery of one of the UK's most high-profile infrastructure projects.
What you'll need to succeed To excel in this role, you will bring:
Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar qualification) or experience equivalent Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within heavy civils Strong working knowledge of NEC form of contact Excellent cost control, reporting and stakeholder management skills A proactive, commercially astute and solutions-focused mindset Full UK driving licence.
