We are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor (Stock Conditions) to join a Local Authority in the West Midlands on an initial 3-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to support the maintenance, improvement and long-term management of the Council's housing stock and wider property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

· Undertake comprehensive stock condition surveys across residential properties.

· Assess building conditions, identify defects and recommend necessary repairs and improvements.

· Deliver a range of building surveying and project management duties.

· Support planned maintenance programmes and asset management strategies.

· Ensure properties meet relevant housing standards, health and safety requirements and current legislation.

· Prepare detailed survey reports, specifications and recommendations for remedial works.

· Support the Council in fulfilling its statutory responsibilities as a landlord.

Ideal Candidate:

· Previous experience in building surveying within a Local Authority or social housing environment.

· Strong knowledge of stock condition surveys, building defects and property maintenance.

· Good understanding of housing legislation and compliance requirements.

· Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills.
