Role Overview We are currently recruiting a Cost Manager to join a client focused team based from our Birmingham office. This is an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen our Cost Management team.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive candidate to take responsibility for providing all core Quantity Surveying services on a number of interesting projects, for a number of clients across a variety of sectors.

Role Responsibilities Supporting the Associate / Senior Cost Manager on projects

Pre and Post-Contract Quantity Surveying duties

Involvement in Pre-Construction cost planning and estimating

Involvement in Post-Contract financial management

The candidate will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project

Building and maintaining client relationships

To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results. Qualifications Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical disciplineMRICS or membership of other relevant professional body preferred Experience Strong technical delivery experience

Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner

Feasibility and cost planning experience

Pre and Post contract experience of a range of schemes

Experience of providing procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract services

Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accountsA track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines

Some experience / knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
