Retoucher Overview
Wellcom London is looking for a detail-oriented product retoucher with an excellent eye for colour. This role is based on-site, 5 days a week, at our client's location in Solihull, reporting directly to the Photography Retouching Lead.
What are we looking for?- Proven experience in colour-matching and retouching to a high standard.
- An exceptional eye for photo realism, detail, light and shade, colour correction and final treatment/grading.
- A strong portfolio of industry experience, presenting a wide range of retouching skills from product, advertising, skin and beauty to automotive and everything in between.
- Full knowledge and understanding of Photoshop, the photography shoot process, image capture packages, workflows, colour spaces and technical specifications for print and digital production.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work on-site, client-facing in a role with challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication with all departments in order to ensure the smooth running of all projects.
- Review and approve images before delivery or upload to e-commerce platforms.
- Check colour accuracy, cropping, alignment, file naming, and consistency across image sets.
- Flag and communicate retouching or production issues to the team.
- Maintain QC checklists and contribute to improving post-production workflows.
- Ensure images meet both internal and external partner requirements.
- 2–4 years of professional retouching experience in an e-commerce or studio environment, working on-site with clients.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Capture One.
- A good understanding of colour management, including screen and output profiles.
- Strong eye for detail, composition, and colour.
- Familiarity with file management systems, DAM software, and Photo workflow tools.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume image production setting.
- Ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines and high volumes.
