The role will provide a varied mix of membership administration, customer service, database management, sales support and events administration. We are looking for someone proactive, professional and detail-focused, who enjoys building strong relationships and delivering an excellent service to members and stakeholders. Details of the role You will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of membership and customer service activities.
You will be a key point of contact for members, responding to enquiries by telephone and email and ensuring that queries are dealt with accurately and promptly. The role offers plenty of variety, with responsibility for maintaining accurate membership records, supporting the annual membership renewal process, processing applications and payments, assisting with events administration and promoting membership products and services.
You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, as well as regional teams and relationship managers, helping to ensure members receive the information, support and materials they need. Salary, contract & location Salary: £30,600 pro rata

Part-time, 2 days per week Responsibilities Provide professional and responsive customer service to members via telephone and email. Respond to enquiries relating to membership, conferences, payments and other organisational services. Maintain and update accurate membership records across the database. Process membership applications and payments, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. Carry out routine data checks, including identifying duplicate records and updating contact information.
Support the annual membership renewal process, including reviewing data, coordinating renewal activity and responding to member queries. Assist with membership events, including drafting invitations, managing registrations and responding to event enquiries. Promote and sell memberships, products and services, identifying opportunities to upsell where appropriate. Produce and analyse reports and membership listings as required. Liaise with regional teams and relationship managers to support membership campaigns and promotional activity.
Work collaboratively with other departments and contribute to wider organisational requirements when needed. Maintain a high standard of accuracy, professionalism and customer service across all areas of the role. Person specification We are looking for an individual who is organised, proactive and confident working in a customer-facing administrative environment. You will ideally have:
Previous experience in a membership or customer service role.
Experience of working with databases and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Experience using CRM systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands. A proactive and flexible approach to work. A friendly, diplomatic and professional manner. The confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of members and stakeholders.
Desirable experience includes:
Experience working within a membership organisation or business-to-business environment. Experience working with high volumes of data. Advanced Excel skills. Direct marketing experience. Experience supporting events or event administration. A business-related or degree-level qualification.
