Gensler’s Birmingham office is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team. The role requires Revit capabilities and responsibility for initiating technical solutions that meet client and design briefs.

• Tap into creativity to design unique professional environments, providing technical support for completion and execution of projects across all stages.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with the team to design and deliver major projects for professional and financial service companies and other corporates, including architecture and interior design projects.
• Design and deliver workplace and lifestyle design projects.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle: estimating, bidding, project kick‑off, weekly coordination, punch/snagging lists, turnover, opening, and project close‑out.
• Support communication between the project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials.
• Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges.
• Maintain the project manual and specifications.
• Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFIs during construction.
• Maintain a proactive, problem‑solving attitude and work closely with the wider consultancy team to develop innovative technical design solutions.

• An undergraduate or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Minimum 10 years post‑qualification professional work experience.
• Experience in project leadership, excellent client liaison, and team management skills.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents.
• Proficiency in Revit (preferred).
• Experience with the full project lifecycle.
• Understanding of building construction and ability to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship‑management skills.
