Project Designer; Revit OR Tekla)

A new role for a Project Designer (Tekla or Revit experienced) has arisen in Birmingham.

My Client focusses on the high-end delivery of SFS (Steel Framed Solutions) andpre-fabricated structural steel building sections and systems, to Clients within the property and Construction sector. They are able to consider Project Designers of either a Tekla or Revit background as software training can be provided. Essentially applicants will be either Revit or Tekla skilled along withSFS, LGSF, Infill or hot rolled steel based project experience is required.

The role will be based within the specialist SFS / Steel Framed Solutions Team and applicants will be required to have workplace based Tekla or Revit design and detailing experience and ideally Loadbearing LGS (Light Gauge Steel) framed knowledge and experience.

Overview of Project Designer / Detailer Role:

• Undertake and complete project design and detailing utilising Tekla or Revit
• Work from architects and structural engineer's drawings, interpreting the details and information from which you will then prepare and issue the SFS technical drawings.
• Attend Design Team Meetings.
• Liaise and co-ordinate with other design team professionals
• Work in an organised, proficient and timely manner to ensure a smooth delivery of projects.
• Projects will typically be SFS steel framed solutions for the likes of residential, student accommodation, hotel developments and commercial based projects.

If applicants are at more of a Senior level they can expect totake more of alead role in the development, management and production of detailed design plans and technical drawings / packages. MyClient can be fluid at the level of which they appoint for this role and therefor thesalary will be aligned to the level of duties the successful applicant will be undertaking based upon experience.

This role can be appointed at either Project Designer or Senior Project Designer level.

• A qualification in a relevant technical subject is required.
• Experience of utilising the Tekla or Revit software to produce accurate and concise drawing packages for SFS, LGSF or hot rolled steel projects.
• Given the focus of the role a background and prior experience of working on SFS, cold rolled steel / light gauge steel projects would be required.
• You will be able to adopt a flexible approach to workload whilst demonstrating a willingness to take on additional work as and when required.
