Role: Architectural Technician
Location:Birmingham
Work Pattern: Hybrid Working (2/3 Days)
Pay: £28 - £33 per hour
Contract:12-Months
Job Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join a leading design and construction team on a 12-month contract based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused professional with strong RIBA Stage 3-4 experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawings and construction packages.
- Deliver projects through RIBA Stage 3-4
- Develop and maintain accurate BIM models and drawing sets.
- Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations and industry standards.
- Support the coordination and resolution of technical design issues.
- Work collaboratively to meet project deadlines and quality requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years as an Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist.
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects through RIBA Stage 3-4.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of Revit.
- Experience producing detailed technical and construction drawings.
- Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare or education projects.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination processes and standards.
- Experience collaborating with contractors during the construction phase.
- CIAT membership or relevant industry accreditation.
- Previous experience working within a hybrid project delivery environment.
