We are currently recruiting for an experienced Architectural Technician to join an established multidisciplinary consultancy, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Architectural Technician who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle and wants to develop their career within a collaborative consultancy environment.
The RoleAs an Architectural Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings and construction information, working closely with architects, engineers, consultants and clients to develop coordinated design solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
- Developing designs from concept through to technical design and construction stages.
- Producing and coordinating technical information using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
- Ensuring drawings and technical documentation comply with relevant Building Regulations, British Standards and project requirements.
- Assisting with design development, technical detailing, material specifications and buildability.
- Coordinating information with external consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Attending site visits and surveys where required and incorporating findings into design information.
- Reviewing drawings and resolving technical and coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting the wider project team to ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality requirements.
- Proven experience working within an architectural practice or multidisciplinary consultancy.
- Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction technology.
- Experience producing technical and construction information.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- A good understanding of the construction process and how buildings are put together.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Relevant qualifications in Architectural Technology, Architecture or a related discipline.
