The successful candidate will bring strong project leadership skills, the ability to build lasting client relationships, and a passion for creating sustainable, people-centred places. You will lead projects from inception through to completion, manage multidisciplinary teams and support the development of junior colleagues.
The residential portfolio includes build-to-rent, affordable housing, mixed-use developments, later living, refurbishment, retrofit, regeneration and sustainable neighbourhoods. Projects range from individual residential schemes to large-scale master planned communities, with a focus on high-quality design, placemaking and net-zero carbon ambitions.
Key Responsibilities

Manage projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
Lead client meetings, design presentations and stakeholder engagement activities.
Take responsibility for project briefing, concept design, planning submissions and detailed design development.
Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
Oversee design development and coordination throughout all relevant RIBA stages.
Manage project fees, invoicing and associated commercial responsibilities, with administrative support where required.
Support business development activities, contribute to bids and help secure new project opportunities.
Represent the practice through professional networking, industry engagement and the successful delivery of projects.
Mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance and contribute to their professional development.
Promote collaboration, high design standards and positive team performance across the practice.
Contribute to the delivery of sustainable residential developments, including low-carbon design and net-zero strategies.
Essential Requirements

Approximately 5-10 years post-qualification experience, ideally within the residential sector.
Significant experience designing and delivering residential projects from concept through to completion.
Experience managing projects through planning and construction stages.
Experience in residential refurbishment, retrofit and regeneration.
Experience working within the Building Safety Act 2022 framework, including Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs), Gateway submissions and regulatory engagement during design and construction.

Experience leading residential projects with construction values ranging from £5 million to £50 million and above.
Proven ability to manage the design process across all relevant RIBA stages.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and managing project stakeholders.
