We’re looking for an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our dedicated team at the Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality elective orthopaedic care in a modern, brand new, purpose‑built hospital.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering specialist care, with a particular focus on upper limb surgeries, and a variety of minor orthopaedic procedures. With first-line cover provided by RMOs, the on‑call responsibility is minimal and shared on a rota with orthopaedic colleagues.

• Perform a wide range of elective orthopaedic procedures
• Deliver exceptional care across the patient pathway – preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
• Support and supervise junior clinical staff
• Participate in audit, clinical governance, service improvement, and teaching
• Engage in continuing professional development and actively contribute to departmental meetings and strategic planning

• GMC Specialist Registration in Trauma and Orthopaedics
• Demonstrated high-volume experience
• Strong clinical outcomes backed by NJR or equivalent data
• Excellent theatre efficiency and patient care record
• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
