Job Summary

Newly Qualified Salaried GP – 4 sessions per week.

Pioneers Integrated Partnership, West Birmingham. Tower Hill Partnership is part of PIP PCN. The network provides structure and funding for local services in response to patient needs. Approximate list size is 29,000.

Contract:

Permanent, part‑time.

Working pattern: 4 sessions per week.

Salary: £9,500 to £10,000 per session.

• Face‑to‑face and telephone consultations.
• Home and nursing home visits.
• Checking and signing repeat prescriptions.
• Administrative duties: queries, test results, referral letters, paperwork, and correspondence.
• Clinical management of patients in surgery.
• Triaging patients by phone, online and in person.
• Making autonomous professional decisions on presenting problems.
• Screening for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
• Developing care plans in line with disease‑management protocols.
• Managing long‑term and complex conditions.
• Recording accurate consultation notes and collecting audit data for QOF.
• Processing patient test results and making referrals to secondary care or PCN colleagues.
• Prescribing in line with the formulary, avoiding handwritten prescriptions.
• Participating in enhanced services and contributing to audit and evaluation.
• Attending training, PCN meetings and supporting life‑long learning.

• MBBS or an equivalent medical degree.
• Full registration with GMC.
• Certification of Completion of Training – JCPTGP/PMETB.
• Inclusion on the Performers List.
• Evidence of commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

• Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills.
• Effective time‑management and calm under pressure.

• IT skills including word processing and database work.

• Experience of primary care through the GP Vocational Training Scheme.

• Compliance with practice policies (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety).
• Participation in audit and clinical standard‑setting.
• Summarising patient records and read‑coding data.
• Supporting training and education of staff and students.
• Attending practice and PCN meetings.

Post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975; a Disclosure and Barring Service check is required.
