Job Summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Paediatric Clinical Teaching Fellow to join our Undergraduate Medical Education Team.
This is a fixed-term post for one year, with an anticipated start date of September 2026.
The role offers you the opportunity to develop as confident and competent medical educator while gaining valuable experience within a tertiary children's hospital.

You will join a team of committed clinical teachers and tutors and contribute to the design, development, delivery, and assessment of undergraduate education in paediatrics and child health within the Trust.
You will be expected to undertake the following responsibilities:
Teaching Responsibilities- Deliver regular clinical teaching to medical students and physician associate students
- Contribute to teaching during paediatric academic programmes for medical and physician associate students
- Participate in the delivery of structured teaching, including simulation‑based education, clinical skills teaching, and induction programmes
- Support the organisation and delivery of undergraduate examinations in collaboration with the Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) team
- Design, undertake, and evaluate a project within an area of paediatric medical education
- Attend UGME educational and academic meetings, as agreed with the Head and/or Deputy Head of Academy
- Deliver agreed educational and quality targets, in line with internal objectives and university requirements
- Be accountable for the delivery and quality of teaching to the Head of Academy
- This is a non‑clinical role and does not include direct patient care
- Work collaboratively with local managers and professional colleagues to support the effective and efficient delivery of undergraduate medical education within the Trust
- Comply with the Trusts Terms and Conditions of Service and adhere to all relevant Trust policies, procedures, and professional standards
