Our client, a highly regarded and innovative GP practice in Birmingham, is looking to recruit a dedicated Salaried GP to join their friendly and supportive clinical team for 6 sessions per week
.

Candidates with an interest or experience in Minor Surgery and/or Joint Injections are particularly encouraged to apply, although these skills are not essential.

Role

You’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered care while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team in a modern, well‑organised practice.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Deliver face‑to‑face, telephone and online consultations
  • Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate
  • Prescribe safely in accordance with local and national guidance
  • Review pathology results and clinical correspondence
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous electronic clinical records
  • Support safeguarding, clinical governance and patient safety processes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, QOF and enhanced services
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider multidisciplinary team
Working Pattern

Clinical sessions are 4 hours and 10 minutes
, designed to support safe, effective patient care.

Each session includes:

  • 15‑minute face‑to‑face appointments
  • 10‑minute telephone consultations
  • One allocated home visit slot
  • Protected administration time for reviewing results, correspondence, repeat prescriptions and other clinical tasks

All GPs participate in a shared Duty GP rota
, managing same‑day clinical triage and urgent appointment allocation.

Our client is a successful GP training and teaching practice providing care to approximately 9,200 patients in Birmingham.

The practice has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality patient care while fostering a supportive environment where clinicians are encouraged to grow professionally and develop specialist interests.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Essential
  • Qualified General Practitioner
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • Inclusion on the NHS England Performers List
  • MRCGP (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and revalidation
  • Previous experience working within UK General Practice
  • Experience managing both acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Excellent consultation, communication and clinical decision‑making skills
  • Ability to manage workload safely and effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Good understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding and quality improvement
Desirable
  • Experience using EMIS Web
  • Familiarity with digital triage and online consultation platforms such as Accu Rx
  • Experience supporting QOF, enhanced services or population health initiatives
  • Experience supervising medical students, trainees or other clinicians
  • Clinical interests in Minor Surgery, Joint Injections, service development, digital transformation or leadership
