A comprehensive guide to all duties and responsibilities will be outlined in the induction handbook and meeting including the following:
- To ensure a safe and high standard of care of all Stroke Patients at Heartlands Hospital.
- Conduct ward rounds independently or in association with the Consultant
- To supervise more junior medical staff and Advanced Care Practitioners in their duties
- Attend TIA and follow up clinics with Consultant Supervision
- Perform duties outlined as above or in the job plan to appropriate level of expertise
- To assist with the clinical training and supervision of junior medical staff, medical students and other allied health professionals in Medicine.
- To comply with the CPD and revalidation requirements of the relevant college of the candidate and the GMC.
- To participate in mentoring sessions with the designated departmental clinical/educational supervisor.
- To participate in the quality improvement programme.
- To complete an annual appraisal using the system within UHB between 1 April and 30 September.
- To attend the departmental teaching programme.
- To accept that occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances may occur, and to respond professionally to the needs of the service when they arise.
