Physician: Geriatric Medicine; Specialty Doctor

We are currently seeking a Specialty Doctor in Community Geriatric Medicine to support a service based in the West Midlands. This long-term locum opportunity offers the chance to work within an established Geriatrics team, providing specialist care for older adults within community and secondary care settings. The role is ideal for doctors with experience in Geriatric Medicine and Elderly Care, who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to an ageing population.

You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams supporting comprehensive geriatric assessment, clinical management of complex elderly patients, and ongoing service delivery within the department.

• Deliver high-quality care for older adults within community geriatric medicine services.
• Undertake comprehensive geriatric assessments and support personalised treatment plans.
• Manage patients with complex medical needs and multiple co-morbidities.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, therapists, social care teams, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Provide timely and accurate clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
• Support day-to-day service delivery and contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and contribute to a safe clinical environment.

• Active GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Previous UK experience within Geriatric Medicine or Elderly Care.
• Experience working at Specialty Doctor or equivalent level.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
• Strong clinical judgement and commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
