Overview

Birmingham Training Academy is currently looking to recruit a creative, enthusiastic and professional Hairdressing & Barbering Tutor to join our Hairdressing Reflections training team part-time based in the centre of Birmingham.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • Passionate about Hairdressing:
    Enjoy training to young people, helping them develop their skills and meet their individual needs.
  • Excellent Communication

    Skills:

    Ability to work closely with learners and employers, supporting recruitment efforts and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Creative and Confident:
    Capable of delivering hairdressing instruction to both groups and one-on-one sessions.
  • Organized and prioritised well:
    Strong organizational skills, able to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Flexible and Motivating:
    Inspire and motivate learners with a flexible approach.
Key Responsibilities
  • Working with young people:
    Competently support and assess learners at Hairdressing or Barbering Foundation level.
  • Raising Standards:
    Work with learners and employers to enhance training quality.
  • Supportive Role:
    Provide full support to employers and learners, ensuring high-quality training and adherence to industry standards.
  • Develop Personal

    Skills:

    Help young people develop the personal skills necessary for their careers.
  • Engaging Delivery:
    Prepare and deliver inspiring, engaging, and interactive workshops and sessions.
  • Monitor Progress:
    Track learner progress, set targets, and ensure timely assessments and training within the workplace.
  • High-Quality Training:
    Demonstrate advanced level, up-to-date standards in training.
  • Professional and Friendly:
    Excellent communication skills, high personal presentation, and a team player attitude.
  • Driving Licence

    Required:

    Must have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
