Role summary: This Lecturer will teach across a range of undergraduate levels in the BSc (Hons) Computing programme, delivering modules in Technology, Software, and Data. The role requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.

What you'll be doingAs a Lecturer in Computing at Global Banking School, you will deliver modules around the main themes of the programme:
Technology, Software, and Data. You will produce and deliver comprehensive course materials covering database systems, internet technologies, data, cyber security, networking, and business information systems. All aspects of learning, teaching and assessment will be carried out, and you will keep current with latest developments and student support practices.
- Plan, deliver, and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
- Develop, update and improve course materials as needed.
- Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
- Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties.
- Stay up to date with developments in your field and student support practices.
- Work toward objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression.
- Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
- Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
- Extensive knowledge of two or more of: programming, software development, web development, database systems, cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, IoT and emerging technologies, business IT systems, IT management, AI and machine learning, operating systems, UI/UX.
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
- Accurate reporting skills and ability to maintain thorough, organised student records.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan, prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
- Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol in a teaching programme during a probationary period and complete it within three years, or a fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
- Experience designing or developing academic or professional education programmes.
