A "Good" rated secondary academy in Birmingham is seeking a passionate and committed MFL Teacher to join their thriving Languages department from January 2026
. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner who can deliver engaging French and/or Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and who is eager to contribute to a positive, forward-thinking school community.
- Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver engaging, culturally rich lessons that inspire language learning
- Support learners of mixed abilities through clear differentiation
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and raise attainment
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement
- Contribute to departmental development, curriculum planning, and enrichment
- Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
- QTS or equivalent relevant teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge in French and/or Spanish
- Experience teaching MFL at KS3 & KS4 (GCSE experience advantageous)
- Confident classroom management and ability to motivate learners
- A reflective, committed practitioner with high personal and professional standards
- Someone who can integrate quickly into a supportive academy environment
- "Good" Ofsted rating with strong, supportive leadership
- Well-established Languages department with collaborative staff
- Clear behaviour systems and a calm learning atmosphere
- Excellent CPD opportunities and routes for progression
- Diverse student community with a strong culture of respect and ambition

- No day-to-day supply - full-time consistency in one school.
