EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Aston, B6 Birmingham

Pay Rate

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

Are you passionate about early years education? We’re looking for a warm, reliable EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a lively Reception class in a welcoming primary school in Aston. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping young children thrive through play‑based learning and structured routines. You’ll be working alongside a supportive class teacher and wider EYFS team in a school that values every child’s individual journey.

What

You’ll Be Doing:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum
  • Lead small group activities and one‑to‑one support where needed
  • Help children settle into school routines with confidence and care
  • Encourage speech, language and social development through play
  • Assist with phonics, early maths and literacy
  • Provide a nurturing and safe environment for all children
We’re Looking For Someone That:
  • Has experience working with children in EYFS, ideally within a school setting
  • Understands the Early Years Framework and child‑led learning
  • Is patient, engaging and confident in managing young learners
  • Can commit to a full‑time, long‑term role starting in January
  • Holds a relevant Level 2/3 qualification or has strong classroom experience
