Employability Tutor

About Job

As an Employability Tutor, you will deliver engaging, learner-centred training across employability and vocational programmes, supporting adults to develop the skills, behaviours, and confidence required for the workplace. You will work with learners from diverse backgrounds, delivering both 1:1 and group sessions, and supporting them throughout their learning journey from enrolment to achievement.

Key responsibilities include:

* Delivering employability and vocational training in areas such as Customer Service, Business Administration, and Adult Social Care

* Embedding Maths, English, digital skills, and employability skills into delivery

* Supporting learners to achieve accredited qualifications and progression outcomes

* Mentoring, coaching, and motivating learners to overcome barriers to employment

* Setting and reviewing SMART targets to support learner progress and achievement

* Tracking learner progress and maintaining accurate records on learner management systems

* Ensuring delivery aligns with Ofsted, safeguarding, quality assurance, and funding requirements

* Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Ideal Candidate

You will be well-suited to this Employability Tutor role

If you have:

* A Level 3 or above teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, or equivalent)

* Experience delivering employability training, functional skills, or vocational programmes

* A genuine passion for education and supporting learners into employment

* The ability to adapt teaching methods to engage learners with diverse needs and backgrounds

* Strong organisational skills and confidence managing a varied caseload

* Good IT skills and experience using learner management or CRM systems

Desirable (but not essential):

* An IAG qualification or experience providing information, advice, and guidance

* Experience delivering employability training within warehouse, logistics, or vocational settings

* Knowledge of funded employability or Adult Skills programmes
