SEN teaching assistant

Smile Education are recruiting for an SEN teaching assistant to work in a specialist needs school near the Sutton Coldfield area. The role would be working across the primary age range, supporting students with small group work and doing 1:1 work with students.

The role would be Monday to Friday, working 8:30‑3:30 and the school has a strong and inclusive staff team.

• Have a focus on working with small groups and occasionally working 1:1.
• Develop and concentrate on building a relationship with the child, staff and family members.
• Constant and consistent communication with the class teacher, regarding progress and potential methods of work.
• Create a secure and positive environment for the child to learn and feel comfortable.

• An up‑to‑date DBS on the update service or dated within the last 12 months.
• A teaching assistant qualification or health and social care (level 2 or
  3).
• Experience working with SEN children on a 1:1 basis or small groups work.
• Experience working with Primary school children.
• At least 2 professional references covering the last 2 years of work history.

• A daily rate of 89‑105 a day
