This fantastic special school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support secondary‑aged students with complex learning needs.
If you are patient, nurturing and ready to help young people thrive, this could be the perfect role for you.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be offering both 1‑to‑1 and small‑group support, helping students with Autism, moderate learning difficulties, communication needs and additional challenges access learning and succeed in the classroom.
Working alongside experienced teachers and a skilled SENCO team, you will help create a safe, structured and engaging environment where students feel valued, confident and ready to learn.
Job Role- Supporting students with complex needs across Key Stage 3 and 4
- Providing 1‑to‑1 and small‑group assistance to promote engagement and progress
- Helping students develop communication, confidence and learning skills
- Assisting the teacher with planning and adapting activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
- Support from a highly experienced team and leadership who value LSAs
