This role suits a Food Technology Teacher who can build strong relationships, manage challenging behaviour calmly, and deliver practical lessons that develop life skills, confidence and independence.

Job Role:

Teaching Food Technology to small groups of students who may have faced barriers to learning
Planning and delivering practical, engaging lessons using high-quality catering facilities
Creating a safe, structured and encouraging environment within the kitchen classroom
Supporting students to develop essential life skills, teamwork and confidence
Working closely with pastoral staff to ensure students feel supported emotionally and academically
Managing behaviour positively and consistently to promote a calm learning atmosphere
Adapting teaching approaches to meet a range of needs and abilities
