Job Title:
Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Pay rate:
£95.00 – £98.00 per day (depending on experience and qualification)

Kings Norton, Birmingham
Hours:
Full-Time, Monday to Friday (term-time)

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant in the Kings Norton area.
This role is based within a specialist education setting that supports learners with social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides a structured, nurturing environment focused on positive relationships, personal development and helping young people build confidence, resilience and independence.

Job requirements:
• Minimum GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
• Minimum 6 months’ experience working in a similar specialist setting
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or complex needs
• Child DBS (or willingness to apply)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
Role responsibilities:
• Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs
• Assist with classroom learning and personalised interventions
• Work closely with teachers and support staff
• Promote positive behaviour, engagement and wellbeing
