Salary: MPS / UPS (dependent on experience)

A well-established secondary school in North Birmingham is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join its department on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role.

The school provides a structured, inclusive learning environment, with clear behaviour expectations and a strong focus on literacy, progress, and consistency. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who values high standards and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

• Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned to the national curriculum
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and raise attainment
• Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour management
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners
• Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school literacy initiatives
• Support pupils' confidence in reading, writing, and communication

• QTS or a recognised UK teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
• Confident classroom presence and effective behaviour management
• Ability to commit to a long-term role in one school
