Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site position for a Nursery Nurse located in Birmingham. The Nursery Nurse will provide a caring, safe, and stimulating environment that supports the development and well‑being of children. Responsibilities include planning and implementing engaging learning activities, maintaining safeguarding practices, monitoring children’s progress, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to create positive educational experiences. The role involves promoting creativity and ensuring the physical and emotional development of children in a nurturing nursery setting.

Qualifications
  • Experience in nursery care and nursing‑related duties, ensuring a caring and safe environment for young children
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of child protection policies to ensure the safety and welfare of children
  • Demonstrated creativity skills to design engaging and educational activities for children
  • Proven experience working with children, including understanding their emotional, social, and developmental needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, parents and colleagues
  • A childcare or early years qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks and age‑appropriate teaching practices is a plus
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and work as part of a collaborative team
