Overview
SEN Support Assistant x2 role in North Birmingham. Starting date:
Immediate start, full time. Salary: 105 per day, dependent on experience. Temporary Contract, ongoing position. Full Time Vacancy (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday).
- Provide SEN Support Assistant duties in a SEND School in the Birmingham area, working within a primary Special needs class with non-verbal, and ASD children.
- Support students with diverse needs, delivering individual attention in the classroom and assisting multiple learners as required.
- Support with safeguarding and maintain a caring and nurturing environment.
- Qualified SEN Support Assistant – ideally level 2 or above.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK SEND school system.
- Ability to nurture and support young children with SEND.
- Ideally at least 12 months experience within Special Needs.
- Safeguarding Level 1 trained.
- DBS on the Update Service.
- Experience with Autism, PMLD, SLD, MLD, and complex needs.
- Dedicated to supporting young SEND learners.
The school looks after children at Primary level with a range of special needs, focusing on complex, Autism and behavioural needs. It has children aged between 3 - 11 years old, all with learning and additional needs. You will work within the classroom, providing individual attention-focused support to learners.
