Position: SEMH TA In B29 (Temporary)
SEMH 1:1 Support Opportunity - Weoley Castle (B29) 🌟

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS3 boy with SEMH needs, ASD, Conduct Difficulties, and perceived challenging behaviour in the Weoley Castle (B29) area.

This role is ideal for someone who believes in relationship‑based practice, understands trauma‑informed approaches, and can offer calm, consistent support to help a young person re-engage with learning.

What the role involves
Providing 1:1 support throughout the school day

Using de‑escalation strategies and emotional regulation techniques

Building trust and promoting positive routines

Supporting academic tasks, social skills, and confidence

Working closely with the school's SEN and pastoral team

We're looking for someone who is
Patient, nurturing, and emotionally intelligent

Experienced with SEMH, ASD, or behaviour support

Able to remain calm under pressure

Skilled at creating safe, structured, and predictable environments
