Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a qualified Science Teacher for an immediate or Spring Term start. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, forward-thinking school with strong leadership and a commitment to high-quality teaching and student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching desirable where applicable)
  • Teach your subject specialism (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) while supporting the wider Science curriculum
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of mixed-ability classes and support all learners
  • Assess, monitor and record student progress providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and external examinations
  • Create and maintain a safe, engaging and well-managed classroom and laboratory environment
  • Follow all school policies relating to behaviour management and safeguarding
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department on planning and curriculum delivery
  • Communicate with colleagues and leadership regarding student progress and support needs
  • Contribute positively to the wider life and standards of the school
Key Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one Science discipline
  • Ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
  • Available to start ASAP or during the Spring Term
