• Day‑to‑day work – covering daily absences in local schools
• Short‑term cover – several weeks
• Part‑time and full‑time work
• Long‑term work – more involved with planning and marking in a specialist subject

The daily work will involve going to several different schools in your local area on general supply. You may be required to teach a general mix of subjects throughout the day. The long‑term work will require you to get a lot more involved in the school, and the position will involve planning and marking in your specialist subject.
