If you have answered ‘yes’ to all these questions, join our team!
This is a particularly exciting time to join James Brindley, the founding school of the newly established Think Differently Education Trust. This marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for our community, opening up fresh opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and professional growth across Birmingham. By joining us now, you’ll be part of shaping a progressive trust from the ground up — helping to drive meaningful change for our young people while developing your own career in a supportive and ambitious environment.
If you are a well‑organised and resilient professional who has high expectations and a positive mindset this could be the job for you.
We are seeking a flexible individual to join our Short‑Term Provision Team. Working with primary and secondary aged young people, who are unable to attend school for medical reasons, you will play a key role in ensuring they do not fall behind and have gaps in their knowledge. The job involves actively supporting and facilitating work set by the home schools or delivering the Academy’s established curriculum.
This will be a blend of face‑to‑face and online sessions, so excellent IT skills are essential. You will need to have at least a GCSE 4 – 9, (or equivalent), in English and maths. Due to the nature of the post, a current valid driving licence and car access are also essential.
If you have provided an email address, we will use that for correspondence.
If your application is shortlisted, you will be contacted via email within 2 to 3 weeks of the closing date. Please ensure you check your junk/spaminboxes.
Online SearchAs part of our recruitment checks, an online search will be undertaken on all shortlisted candidates. This search does not form part of the shortlisting process and you will have the opportunity to discuss any issues of concern that may arise from this search at the interview.
