Exam Invigilator; Temporary

Position: Exam Invigilator (Temporary)
Smile Education are currently recruiting for Exam Invigilators to work on a seasonal basis during peak exam periods.

May – July is the busiest time due to GCSE examinations; however, there are additional opportunities throughout the academic year when mock exams and resits take place.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work within a school environment, supporting the smooth running of examinations.
Key

Duties and Responsibilities:

Setting out examination papers and stationery prior to the examination
Ensuring a calm environment and helping to organise students at the start and end of each exam
Displaying starting and finishing times for examinations clearly
Ensuring the conduct of exams follows all regulatory guidelines
Referring suspected malpractice or irregularities to the Exams Officer
Marking attendance registers accurately
Dealing with any disturbances during the examination appropriately
Ensuring answer booklets are completed correctly
Collecting and organising exam scripts in candidate number order
Ensuring compliance with examination regulations at all times
Collecting and counting scripts at the end of each examination
Preparing the examination room for the next exam session

The ideal candidate will:
Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely
Be able to remain calm and composed in a formal, high-pressure environment
Possess strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Be reliable, punctual and professional at all times

What we expect from applicants?
Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, integrity and a clear understanding of the importance of exam regulations and safeguarding procedures.
