We are seeking a kind and experienced Teaching Assistant for a maternity cover. The successful candidate will be expected to support KS2 class teachers and lead intervention groups as directed, and also to promote and safeguard the welfare of all children for whom the post holder has responsibility and with whom the post holder comes into contact.
Experience- Experience of working with and caring for children aged 7 to 11 with an understanding of how to meet each child's needs
- Experience of planning, leading and participating in activities to support the learning of children in KS2
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Sound understanding of safeguarding principles
- Sound knowledge of early childhood development
- Knowledge of current good practice for children aged 7 - 11
- Sound knowledge and experience of the KS2 principles
- Sympathy with the Christian ethos and activities of the school
- Ability to form and maintain positive relationships
- Sensitivity to others and the ability to work cooperatively
- Wholehearted commitment to the life of a vibrant school community

- QTS or Level 3 qualification
- Paediatric First Aid qualification would be desirable
