KS1 & KS2 Intervention Tutor

Birmingham
Full-Time

Start Date:

ASAP
Long-term with potential to go permanent

Love helping children crack that lightbulb moment in Maths and English?

A welcoming primary school in Birmingham is on the lookout for a full-time KS1 and KS2 Tutor to deliver targeted Maths and English interventions. This is a role where you’ll genuinely see the impact of your work, small groups, focused support, real progress.

And the best bit? It’s starting ASAP, with the opportunity to go long-term and even permanent for the right person.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be working across KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils who need a little extra boost in Maths and English. That might mean small group sessions, 1:1 support, or helping close learning gaps so children feel confident heading back into whole-class lessons.

Think focused support. Clear progress. Proper difference‑making.

You’ll work closely with class teachers and SLT to make sure interventions are purposeful and well‑structured, not just “extra work”, but real, measurable impact.

What the school is like
  • Friendly and supportive leadership team
  • A positive, nurturing environment
  • Pupils who respond brilliantly to encouragement
  • A team that values collaboration and fresh ideas

This is the kind of school where staff are supported, not micromanaged. They want someone proactive, caring, and confident in delivering engaging Maths and English sessions.

What they’re looking for
  • Experience working in primary settings, ideally across KS1 and KS2
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths and English curriculum
  • Confidence delivering small group or 1:1 interventions
  • A calm, encouraging approach that builds pupil confidence
  • QTS is desirable, but strong HLTA or experienced intervention specialists are absolutely encouraged to apply

If you’re someone who loves seeing progress in real time and thrives in focused teaching environments, this could be your perfect fit.
