The Role Headteacher - Windsor Olympus Academy (Sandwell)Now in our third year after opening, our first free school, Windsor Olympus Academy, is a "shining example" of innovation in action. Located in the heart of the community, it is already becoming a vital civic anchor supported by state‑of‑the‑art facilities. As Headteacher, you will lead a passionate team to continue building a legacy rooted in high expectations and a deep sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a clear strategic vision and School Improvement Plan (SIP).
- Teaching and Learning: Secure and sustain effective teaching standards, utilising national benchmarks to drive student achievement.
- Curriculum Development: Lead the implementation of a broad and balanced curriculum, including the ASPIRE curriculum and the WAT Pledge.
- Staff Management: Lead, motivate and develop staff through high‑quality professional development and an effective appraisal system.
- Community Engagement: Build strong partnerships with parents and the wider community to enhance teaching and community cohesion.
- Accountability: Provide objective advice and performance data to the Director of Education and the Local Community Committee.
