About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Birmingham. This is a full-time position starting in April 2026, working within Key Stage 1 (KS1), supporting pupils both in class and through targeted interventions.
This role would suit a nurturing, proactive, and dedicated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young learners and contributing to a positive classroom environment.
Teaching Assistant Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (minimum)
Have excellent knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
Have experience supporting pupils in Early Years and/or KS1
Ideally have at least 12 months' experience working in a school setting
Be confident supporting children with additional needs
Be Safeguarding Level 1 trained
Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)

You will work closely with the class teacher to:
Support whole-class learning
Deliver small group interventions
Provide additional support to pupils who require extra assistance
