About the School
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school based in Alum Rock, Birmingham. The school is a vibrant, community-focused setting with a strong commitment to promoting health, wellbeing, and physical development for all pupils.
The leadership team is supportive and forward-thinking, with a clear vision for delivering high-quality PE across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. The school benefits from good outdoor space and is keen to enhance its PE provision through engaging, structured, and energetic lessons that inspire pupils to develop a lifelong love of sport and physical activity.
The Role
Our agency is seeking a fully qualified QTS PE Teacher or an experienced, qualified Sports Coach to deliver high-quality physical education lessons across the primary age range on a full-time basis.
This role will involve:
* Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum
* Teaching a range of sports and physical activities across KS1 and KS2
* Promoting teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles
* Assessing and tracking pupil progress
* Supporting whole-school sporting events and initiatives
* Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety standards are consistently met
This is a hands-on, active role requiring energy, confidence, and excellent behaviour management skills.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised sports coaching qualification
* Have experience working within a UK primary school setting
* Be available full-time (Monday–Friday)
* Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Have up-to-date safeguarding knowledge
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
* Provide references covering the past two years
