German Teacher

Monarch are supporting a secondary school in Kingstanding who are looking for a German Teacher to join from September on a full‑time, long‑term basis. For the right candidate there is potential for the role to become permanent.

This is a great opportunity for a German specialist who can bring energy, confidence and structure to the classroom. The school is looking for someone who can make language learning engaging, accessible and enjoyable for students across KS3 and KS4.

QTS is required for this role.

As the German Teacher you will support students with speaking, listening, reading and writing, helping them build confidence with vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and exam skills. You will be expected to deliver well‑planned lessons, encourage participation and create a positive classroom environment where students feel confident having a go.

• Delivering engaging German lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Helping students build confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing
• Supporting vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and written accuracy
• Creating interactive and purposeful MFL lessons
• Encouraging participation and positive attitudes towards language learning
• Preparing students for assessments and GCSE content where needed
• Adapting lessons to support different ability levels
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school expectations
• Working with the MFL department to support student progress

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Experience teaching German in a secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 German curriculum
• Confident classroom presence
• Good behaviour management skills
• Ability to make German engaging, clear and accessible
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Reliable, proactive and professional approach
• Passion for raising confidence, progress and attainment
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
