Monarch Education are working with a secondary school in Small Heath who are looking for a Spanish Teacher to join them from September.
This is a full‑time role on a long‑term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The school are looking for a qualified teacher who can teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4. You will be supporting students with speaking, listening, reading and writing, while helping them build confidence with vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.
QTS is required for this role.
This would suit a Spanish Teacher who enjoys making lessons interactive and accessible, and who can encourage students to take part and develop confidence in using another language.
What the role will include:
- Teaching Spanish across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging MFL lessons
- Supporting students with grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation
- Helping students develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Preparing students for assessments and GCSE content where needed
- Adapting lessons to suit different ability levels
- Managing behaviour in line with school expectations
- Working with the MFL department to support student progress
The school are looking for someone who has:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – required
- Experience teaching Spanish in a secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Spanish curriculum
- A confident and positive classroom presence
- Good behaviour management skills
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- A reliable and professional approach
- The ability to make language learning engaging and achievable
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting student wellbeing
