Nursery Practitioner

Flourish Education are recruiting a Nursery Practitioner to work in an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Nursery School in Alum Rock to join their support staff on a long-term basis. The Nursery School is child-centred and the children spend much of their day engaged in self-directed learning.

Our client wants to appoint a passionate Nursery Practitioner who has a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum. The school is child led and free flowing meaning children choose to engage in a range of different activities, indoors and outdoors. You will be working with 2/3/4 year olds and a key person for around five children.

This Nursery Practitioner role is to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year. The position is full time, the hours are 8:30am-3:30pm. One day per week, usually on Thursdays, you will beneeded to stay to 4pm for staff meetings / reflection time and will be paid for this.

• Experience working in nurseries in the UK
• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Strong knowledge of child development in the early years
• Providing daily care, such as feeding, naptime routines, changing nappies and ensuring children's comfort
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment, following strict health and safety procedures and ensuring children's well-being
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support babies' development
• Commitment to the role

• £92.58 day rate to £100day rate which equates to £18,049 per annum to £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This Nursery Practitioner position is located in Alum Rock, which is easily commutable from Saltley, Stechford, Washwood Heath, Nechells, Bordesley Green, Small Heath, Aston, and most areas of Birmingham via car, bus and train.
