Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Aspire People is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Mentor to join a welcoming school in the B14 area, with an immediate start available.
RoleAs an SEMH Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them to engage positively with learning and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Support behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
- Encourage student confidence, resilience, and independence.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
