Pastoral Support Officer

Flourish Education is recruiting a Pastoral Support Officer for a long-term role in Rubery, continuing for the remainder of the academic year. This Pastoral Support Officer role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting behaviour and student wellbeing within a secondary school environment.

The school is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to provide support across key areas of student behaviour management. As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will play an important role in maintaining a positive learning environment by managing on-call duties, supervising refocus provision, and supporting students throughout the school day. This Pastoral Support Officer position offers the opportunity to become a valued member of a supportive secondary school team.

• Manage on-call duties across the school
• Supervise students within the refocus provision
• Monitor and support students at designated duty points
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations throughout the school
• Build positive relationships with students and staff
• Support the smooth running of the school day
• Work closely with the wider pastoral team to support student wellbeing

• Experience working in a pastoral, behaviour, mentoring, or support role
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people
• Confident managing challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to supporting students and maintaining high standards across the school

This Pastoral Support Officer position is based in Rubery and is easily commutable from Rednal, Bromsgrove, Northfield, Longbridge, Bartley Green, Haleson, and the surrounding areas.
