The Role:SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09 30
Pay: £90 - £100 per day (inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)
Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe and supported.
- Assist in delivering creative, individualised lessons tailored to a range of needs.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, focusing on communication, sensory integration, and emotional regulation.
- Promote independence and encourage positive behaviour.
- Support with personal care, physiotherapy, and other individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
- Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Experience supporting children or young people with ASD, PMLD, or SLD.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude.
- Strong team working and communication skills.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and equal opportunities.
- Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable access to Welwyn Garden City.
