We are working with a well-established, highly regarded land-based college in Northamptonshire, set within a beautiful rural campus and recognised for its strong links to industry and hands‑on learning approach. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward‑thinking institution committed to delivering high‑quality education in Animal Welfare.
The college is seeking three Animal Welfare Lecturers to join their team:
- 1 x 0.8 FTE (Maternity Cover)
- 2 x Full-Time Permanent Positions
You will deliver engaging and practical Animal Welfare courses across Further Education and, ideally, Higher Education levels. Alongside teaching, you will contribute to curriculum development to ensure programmes reflect current industry demands.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering high- quality teaching across a range of Animal Welfare topics.
- Supporting and tutoring student groups.
- Leading practical sessions and demonstrations.
- Participating in curriculum design and continuous improvement.
- Supporting student progress and pastoral care.
- A broad range of industry experience working with small mammals, exotic species, and large animals.
- Strong animal husbandry knowledge.
- A BSc in Animal Science (or related subject).
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards a Certificate in Education/Diploma in Teaching and Learning).
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
- A commitment to ongoing CPD.
- 44 days annual leave.
