Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (COLL)

Job Details

Post: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade 3 £ 27,254 – £33,699 FTE

Hours: 32.5 per week, Monday to Friday, or 26 per week 4 days, Term Time Only (39 weeks)

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: Autumn Term

Closing date: Monday 15 June 2026

Enhanced DBS: Required

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in meeting the needs of all students, including mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of students as required.
  • Work with individuals and small groups of students in the classroom and while out in the community.
  • Assist in the delivery of the curriculum and support student learning and behaviour.
Qualifications
  • An NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • A minimum GCSE English and Maths Grade C and above (or equivalent).
  • A good understanding of how students learn and develop in education.
  • Excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour.
