About the Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the educational, social, and emotional development of pupils. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals, small groups, and whole classes, helping to remove barriers to learning and ensuring that every child can succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the planning, preparation, and delivery of high-quality learning activities.
  • Delivering targeted interventions to raise attainment and accelerate progress.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of learning needs.
  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a safe, nurturing learning environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Assisting with assessment activities and maintaining accurate records where required.
  • Helping to create engaging classroom displays and learning resources.
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development.
  • Supervising pupils during break times, educational visits, and school activities as required.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Have experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be passionate about supporting children to achieve their very best.
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
  • Be adaptable, proactive, and able to use their initiative.
  • Work effectively as part of a team while also being confident working independently.
  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs (desirable).
  • Bring enthusiasm, positivity, and a commitment to making a difference every day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
